Crush Bending (2017)

This project began as a research project into the industrial manufacturing process of crush bending, exploring a process renowned for its cost efficiency and the added strength it gives to metal. The process is commonly used in mass manufactured industrial objects, but not usually celebrated as the main feature of a product. I wanted to commend its simplistic functional form and aesthetic beauty it leaves on the metal as a by product of the process.
